METRONOME

Metronome – Russell Kabir (© 2013)

I don’t wanna be alone

I don’t wanna say goodbye

Won’t know how to say hello

Without you in my life.

I no longer see your face

When I wake up in the morn.

Oh the love we used to make

Don’t come ‘round no more.

I swing back and forth outta time, like a broken metronome

The rhythm of my heart is off, it’s turning into stone.

It seems the pain, the way we changed

Has shaped me into something new.

Now I can’t seem to shake or break the core of my convictions about you.

Didn’t want the sun to rise

Without you by my side

As the years have gone by

You have faded in my mind

I no longer see your face

When I dream lucidly

Someone else is in your place

A brand new somebody.

I swing back and forth outta time, like a broken metronome

The rhythm of my heart is off, it’s turning into stone.

It seems the pain, the way we changed

Has shaped me into something new.

Now I will do my best to break the core of my convictions about you.

Dancing DRAGONS

Dancing Dragons – Russell Kabir (© 2013)

I know that you’re in to me girl.

Why you gotta act like I’m wrong?

‘Cause we have been keeping this ritual for

Way too long.

You and I are dancing like dragons

Raining fire every time we breathe in deep

Yeah you and I are playing like tigers in a cage

Gnawing, biting, clawing, sinking our teeth

“I need time away,” she says.

“I need time to change.”

Well if that was really true, babe

Why we still playing these games?

You and I are dancing like dragons

Raining fire every time we breathe in deep

Yeah you and I are playing like tigers in a cage

Gnawing, biting, clawing, sinking our teeth
